A New Game for Maddie!

MobiGo Fairies with Tinker Bell

Since last month, Maddie's been taking her MobiGo with her just about everywhere.  I was getting a bit tired of hearing the same games (though she wasn't) so I bought her a new cartridge...Disney's Fairies.  It was like when chocolate met peanut butter!  The combination of her favorite toy and favorite character was almost too much for her little five year-old mind to comprehend.

The game features the key fairy characters from the Tinker Bell series as well as the voice of Tink herself.  There are ...

Laughing Pizza!

For those of you who haven't discovered Laughing Pizza, now's the time to dig in!  Laughing Pizza is a family band that makes music for the whole family.  We recently attended one of their concerts and the thing that jumped out at us was that while the Pre-K set was dancing up front, moms and dads were grooving as well.

Even though it was a "classic" and I knew what was coming, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The dramatic scenery in China made a huge difference and the new cast was great.  Jackie Chan is pleasant and likable as the ...

Macaroni Kid Readers Asked:

I’m starting to feel like a short order cook. We want our kids to eat what we make for dinner, but there’s so much whining and complaining and negotiating, that it’s just less hassle to make them something else that they’ll eat. What’s the best way to get our kids to eat more kinds of foods?

Noël Janis-Norton Answers!

This is a big problem in many families today. When children eat a very limited number of foods, it is frustrating ...

You Wanna Piece of Me??

Why N-O is your best back to school supply

Just when you think life will start getting easier now that the kids are occupied for six hours a day, you start to experience the hectic mornings; the homework; the carpools; the bake sales; the PTA obligations; and the embarrassment of begging your co-workers to buy chocolate bars they do not want (no matter how much they like you or your kids.)

Guess what, Mom friends: We’re allowed to say no occasionally and still be a good mom.

Case in point:  I work out of my home, which causes ...
