Goodbye Mr. Wrinkle

The Collar Perfect Travel Iron

By Eric Cohen February 2, 2016
When I was a teen I lived with three step-sisters who had a nick-name for me...Mr. Wrinkle. I was 16, I didn't care much about clothes, and as long as they didn't smell, I was good. These days, I'm still no clothes horse most of the time, but I do travel for business and make presentations to executives and have to look the part. So I was intrigued by the newly released Collar Perfect travel iron.

It's the brainchild of the brother of one of our Macaroni Kid Publishers and they sent me one to try. I was a skeptic as many in our community have a brother or cousin or second uncle with a great idea, but in this case Brandon took the idea all the way through to a pretty nifty product.

When I travel for business, I try to pack well, but sometimes my shirts are too wrinkled, even for me. So I go to the closet, wrestle the cranky ironing board down, and hunt through the hotel room for the iron and start ironing. Since I know I'm going to be wearing a sport coat the whole time, I just focus on the part of the shirt people will actually see...and therein lies the genius of the Collar Perfect

It a simple little iron that is perfect (really) for quick hits to the collar and front of the shirt that will be seen. I tried it on one of my shirts recently and sure enough it did its job, quickly and efficiently. A few squeezes of the iron over the placket and viola! The wrinkles, and Mr. Winkles, were gone.

It makes a great gift, is light, and it felt surprisingly solid and durable. Retail Price is $34.95 which is a good value for keeping you looking sharp at home or on the road.
