LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

By Mason Cohen - Age 10 July 5, 2011

Editors Note: The following review is by my 10 year old son.  In short, he loves this game.  He demo'd it via the Wii.

I think LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is a great game because the graphics are really nice and it's fun to play.  I like the set up and how you choose levels, buy characters, choose characters and how you do the levels.  I think other kids would like this game.  It has levels from all four movies including the newest one.

It's my second favorite (first favorite is LEGO Star Wars 2, the Complete Saga).  Harder than some of the other LEGO games because in the others there are  just a few places where you can buy characters but in this one they are scattered all over the place.

My favorite character is Park because he has two swords and can double-jump.  My little sister's favorite character is Elizabeth.  My sister and I can play the game together thanks to the split screen, which enables different characters to be in different places (the first game that had this feature was LEGO Harry Potter).

This game is not violent, it doesn't have any blood or anything, but when charcters are destoryed, their LEGO pieces just split apart so it's not at all gruesome. It also includes storyclips which are either in the beginning, middle or end of a level and they show scenes from the movies except the characters are LEGOs and there are a bunch of little jokes and funny things added in.

One a scale of one to ten, I would rate this game a 42.
