The Wiggles Support St. Jude Children's Hospital

August 6, 2013

The Wiggles are getting ready to launch their “Taking Off” North American Tour and have announced their support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.  The Wiggles - Emma, Lachy, Simon & Anthony - recently had an opportunity to meet one St. Jude patient on a fun Google hangout session! The beloved children’s entertainment group chatted online with St. Jude patient Josiah, who had a great time “hanging out.”

Josiah is a 4-year-old St. Jude patient who received treatment for glioma, a type of brain cancer. When The Wiggles played Josiah’s favorite song, “Go tell it on the Mountain,” he danced along to the tune. During the hangout, The Wiggles discussed their support of St. Jude and their shared love of families. Watch the video on the St. Jude Youtube channel to see Josiah get down with The Wiggles.

The Wiggles also answered questions about their tour from some of their many fans.  One fan wanted to know how many bows are in Emma’s extensive collection; turns out the new female member of the group owns more than 300 bows! So far nearly 3,600 people have watched the video of the hangout – you can check it out yourself to learn more about St. Jude and The Wiggles.

The Wiggles are proud to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is the global leader in finding cures and saving children from cancer and other deadly diseases. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago. Unlike any other hospital, St. Jude relies on funding from the general public and supporters like The Wiggles to continue their lifesaving mission. Because of these generous donations patients never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.
