Benjamin Moore Natura Paint

When my Mac Kid was 2 we moved to a new home. His new room was already painted a light baby blue and, as he was still in his crib and using his nursery furniture, we left the room alone. Once the time came for "big boy" furniture, we changed everything in his room...except the paint. And the room never looked exactly right to me.

Thankfully, I was recently offered the opportunity to try out Benjamin Moore Natura paint. The only stipulation was I had to use it on a child's room. DONE! My son's bedding is colorful and bright so I chose a neutral color called Truffle AF-130 for his walls. As soon as it was up I realized that this is what his room had been missing! The previous color had been too young and had blended in with everything in the room. Now that the walls were a new color, everything popped! The bedding, furniture and pictures all stood out more. And the room looks so much more mature. This is a color that he can keep on his walls for a long time!

However if we do decide to repaint, I will definitely choose Benjamin Moore paint again. With no primer and one coat, my son's room was totally covered. We had 3 gallons, but the paint covered so well that we only used a little over 1/2 of one gallon! Normally when I think about painting a room in our house, I groan and figure we've lost the whole weekend. But this paint went on so easily and dried so quickly, we were done in half a day! I was also fully prepared to open all the windows and move our son into our room for a few nights while his room aired out, but the Natura paint has no odor and zero emissions! In fact, Natura is the most environmentally friendly paint you can get, and I felt totally comfortable having my son sleep in his room once the paint dried.

Before

After (much better, huh?)

I picked the paint up from Thybony Paint and Wall Coverings on Kimball and they could not have been more helpful. They showed me the best, most economical tools for painting my son's room and even carried everything out to my car. Great customer service!

Disclosure: I was given paint for the purpose of this review, but all opinions are my own.
