I Love a Rainy Day ... in My New Bogs

By Joyce Shulman October 7, 2014
I love rainy days but I hate soggy sneakers.

Rainy days give me a much-needed chance to catch up with myself and my work. You will usually find me drinking tea and sitting at my computer, feeling no pull to go for a run, take the dogs for a long walk or "get out and do something." I love to sit quietly and get 'er done.

Alas.

I have two dogs who do insist on being walked at least three times a day. I have two kids who need to be picked up from school and driven to countless afternoon activities. Somehow, there are always a dozen things to do that pull me from my beloved rainy day cup of tea and out into the rainy world.

And I hate soggy sneakers. I hate the way my socks get wet and stay that way all day. I hate thinking that I'm ruining my favorite sneakers by letting them get soaked in the wet grass. I hate how my toes get a little wrinkled from a day in those wet socks and soggy sneakers.

Enter new Bogs for me and my girl!

They are comfortable, warm, waterproof and, if I do say so myself, adorable. I like them tucked into my yoga pants or jeans. I like to match them with my favorite rainy day grey sweatshirt. I like to walk through the rain with confidence.  I love how they give me the freedom to do everything I need to do and to have some fun while doing it. And I love watching my daughter discover the joy of jumping through the puddles.

Bogs has the boots to get you through the seasons ... rainboots, winter boots. I love the Pearl Slip On Boot to pair with jeans, the Juno for winter, the Summit Buffalo Plaid for apres ski (machine washable boots, hooray) and, of course my classic North Hampton for, well, everything. Including today.

I was sent a fab pair of Bogs for myself and my daughter for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received.
