My Favorite New Boots and Love Affair with Easy Spirit

November 4, 2014
My love affair with Easy Spirit began almost two decades ago. I was living and working in New York City and my daily commute consisted of a 20 block walk -- about a mile. Sure, I could have sneakered up for the walk and changed into my lawyerly pumps upon arrival at the office but I wasn’t that kinda gal. I love nice shoes. And I love to walk. I wanted both.

I discovered a pair of suede shoes from Easy Spirit that were so fantastic looking, and so comfortable, that I bought three pair in a row before they finally discontinued the style. And I insisted that my mother, my sister and two colleagues buy them as well.

Alas, Easy Spirit and I took a break in our relationship, but they’ve always held a special place in my heart.

So when I was recently introduced to this season’s styles, I rejoiced! Once again there are many terrific, contemporary styles married with comfort that totally belies their high heels and perfect silhouettes.

Many, including my beloved Deesha and Delsie booties, have “anti-gravity technology” which is a little technical for me, but basically involves three layers designed to make these babies super comfortable. A rubber sole means that I won’t slip come the horrible winter they keep telling us is coming. The heel heights are perfect, the boots are gorgeous and I am so, so happy. Now I have my eye on these fabulous little flats.

I was provided with two pair of boots for the purpose of this review. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
