There's a Better Egg in Town: Introducing eco eggs

March 3, 2015
You know those plastic Easter eggs you hide in your garden and that plastic shred you use to line your children's Easter baskets? If your kids are like mine, they get reused for a while ... but a few inevitably get left in the garden and, ultimately, all ends up in the garbage and ultimately in the landfill.

Now there's a better egg in town! eco eggs are made from 100% renewable, plant-based materials instead of traditional petroleum-based plastic. They are made in the US. They are meant to be cherished, loved and used for many Easters to come. And when they are done? They will biodegrade.

New this year is eco grass so you can line those baskets with grass made from 100% recycled paper that can itself be recycled.

It seems to me that there is no better way to celebrate Easter and welcome the spring than by taking care of our gardens and our planet.

Available online, at retailers across the country and at Amazon.
