Give the Gift of Camping

By Eric Cohen June 2, 2015
Last year we moved to a new town. My son did great, but he felt he didn't have the history all his new friends did. So like any good dad, I helped him create new memories with his friends, and one of the best was a weekend father/son camping trip we took. In that weekend we created a ton of new stories for him and his friends...and for me and him.

We'll be going camping again this summer, and we are bringing Coleman along for the trip. They gave us a few products to try and share as great Father's Day gifts.

Here's a brief video where you can see the tent and chairs they sent (well, me sitting in one!)

The tent is the Longs Peak, a spacious 4-man that's ideal for a father son trip. 4 Men would be pretty tight, but dad, mom and a couple of kids would fit OK. Or very comfortable for a father and son ;-) It's accurately called the "fast pitch", I set it up for the first time in just a few minutes. So your gift for dad won't lead to any issues during set up.

And to make sure dad is comfortable during dinner, check out these chairs from Coleman. First, the Vertex, a unique camp chair thanks to it's hard plastic arms. This feature adds to the comfort level as well as providing the most secure cup holder I've ever seen in a camp chair.

Next is the ComfortSmart Suspension Chair with a "cool" feature...the mesh seat and back, which is both cool looking and cool on hot days. This chair is very comfortable and the back height is just right for tilting your head back and catching some Z's.

Coleman has dozens of other products to help dad create memories with the family. This Father's Day give the gift that does keep on giving, the gift of experiences and memories.
