Merry Jane and The Holidays is a multi platform musical children's series about a girl band: Merry Jane, Arella, Valentina, and Holly, with a mascot named Rock Dog. This team of friends only play gigs on holidays, but because they celebrate all the holidays of the world, every day is a holiday! Merry Jane and The Holidays discover and share the universal joy of World Holidays on their adventures.
"When children are entertained, engaged, educated and inspired by multi cultural stories, the music, dance, recipes, traditions, and decorations are introduced to new friends and cultures world wide. Through this, children begin to discover a life long pattern of understanding each other and their place in a larger world," says creator Nancy Hahn.
Merry Jane and The Holiday's Friends
- Rock Dog: Band manager who secretly dreams of making it on his own with his band of pups, ROCK and THE HOWLERS, and back up singer kittens, Melody and Harmony.
- Elsha and Splash Dance: The opening act. They are Jamaican mermaids who create magical poems with great flow, rhyme, and imagery. and Splash Dance have been acknowledged as being the only ethnically diverse mermaids in children's literature.
