First,  you'll need to make salt dough. This is super simple and takes just two ingredients, plus water!

Salt Dough:

  • 1/2 cup water

Stir together all of the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead the dough until smooth.

  1. Preheat the Oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Roll out the salt dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out egg shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. Use a straw to make a hole at the top of the egg shape so you can hang them.
  4. Place the salt dough Easter eggs on the parchment/aluminum foil-covered baking sheets and bake for 2 hours.
  5. When eggs are cooled, paint!
  6. After the paint dries, string twine, ribbon, or yarn through the holes and hang.
