Because they live within the community and know local needs, they were able to connect Valentina’s family with local livestock experts to help them learn how to care for the chickens and start a business.
Within a year, Valentina and her family had a thriving egg-laying operation. Two years later, with the continued support of a team cheering them on, the family now has 700 hens that produce about 300 eggs a day.
The gift of chickens completely changed her family’s life!
Now Valentina is not only helping to feed her own family, but also to feed her own community.
