Together we explore the origin, history, and significance of Kwanzaa and how we can apply the Nguzo Saba (The Seven Principles) in our everyday lives.

Kwanzaa is an African American and pan-African holiday which celebrates family, community, and culture. This 7-day cultural festival takes place from December 26th to January 1st.

During the holiday, families and communities reflect and organize around the Seven Principles: Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith).

If you would love to learn more about Kwanzaa and its importance, please join us on Zoom Friday, December 9th at 6:30 pm!
