Techgirlz is a nonprofit whose mission is to inspire middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers. Check out this upcoming free workshop they're hosting about a day in the life of a web designer:
From Techgirlz: Want to know what your work day would look like as a Web Designer? In this workshop, students will learn all the different responsibilities that come with the title and become a web designer for the day. Learn how designers work in teams to define user needs, develop site architecture, and design visual components of a website.
Students will break into teams to tackle designing a website together using mood boards and prototypes to present their ideas. Free accounts for Mural, Figma or other choice of collaborative mood board and wireframe programs, will come in handy!
Students will need access to a computer (Chromebooks OK!) and internet. Please create a free Mural (https://mural.co/) account prior to the event.
