From Penn Museum: Bring your natural curiosity and craftiness into free live learning sessions by Penn Museum educators! Did you know that Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec Empire, was once home to as many as 200,000 people? Mesoamerican civilizations, such as the Maya and Aztecs, developed massive, intricate communities with impressive architecture. By examining Mesoamerican artifacts, students will learn about the vast, complex cities of Tikal, Teotihuacan, and Tenochtitlan, using them as inspiration to design their own cities.
