Notes regarding time
Eastern TimeDescription
Leap Day only happens 1 time every four years...find out why!
From Omaha Children's Museum: February 29 is the most unique of all holidays, appearing just once every four years…and sometimes even less than that! So let’s use this Leap Day to explore the science behind our calendar and investigate where seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and more all come from–especially Leap Day. This live interactive class will mix curiosity, calendars, calculators, and the cosmos, so be prepared to lose track of time as we learn precisely (albeit with some fudge factor) how and why the world keeps track of time.
