Hanes Wonders About Your Undercover Color

True confessions: I mostly wear black.  But hey, I’m a New Yorker.

This spring, I had the good fortune to spend a couple of days with the Hanes team, along with celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch, at the Hanes Comfort Summit.  It was eye-opening. While there, we spoke about what color means to us and how certain colors evoke certain moods. And it got me thinking … does what we wear affect our mood or does our mood affect what we wear?

Perhaps you can brighten a dark mood with a splash of yellow. Cheer up a gloomy day with a little luscious blue. Turn your perception of bad luck around with a healthy dose of emerald green.

While in Florida, I spent the day exploring color with Phillip, Hanes and a group of awesome women. For fun, check out this little video of "color day."

I've made a commitment to embrace color … I’ve added a bright Hanes ComfortFlex Fit Bra (these are my absolute favorite bras) in bright blue and sometimes let the straps show, I’ve gone under-cover with ruby-red panties and I’ve added a pink and lavender Hanes “Live.Love.Color” t-shirts to my collection. And I’ve discovered that wearing the right color can cheer up a rainy day, even if the color is undercover.

As they continue to explore color, Hanes invites you to share your undercover color on their new site undercovercolor.com where answering one simple question – “What #UndercoverColor are you wearing?” unlocks all sorts of fun color visualizations, mood boards, and color horoscopes.  And who knows, you might just get lucky in their weekly giveaway! So take a moment and let everyone know … what’s today’s undercover color?
